    Awesome!

Got these after a season of using White’s… Luckily my shoes survived the season after seeing some crazy blowouts. Anyways, figured it was time for an upgrade and noticed a lot of others using JK’s. Watched a few videos about them and saw some in person. Ended up picking up some Black Fire Inlanders! Got them pretty quickly luckily, but as soon as I saw them I was quite excited! Right of the box they are quite comfortable suprisingly, but with some weight of course you’ll start hitting the beginning of that break in period! Still got some ways before I’ve put them through the ringer but I’m definitely confident that they will prove their worth in the upcoming season! Would recommend and looking forward to getting a custom pair in the future:)

    Great boots!!

These are the most comfortable pair of boots I’ve ever owned. 15 seasons of wearing wildland boots and trying a few different brands over the years these are by far the best. The customer service was great and speedy. I went a size wider than other brands and they fit like a glove.

    My favorite boots

Amazing quality boots this is my second pair . I’ve been wearing the first pair for about a year beating the

**** out of them every day . And they still look new . They are the most comfortable boots ever and they

Stay comfortable unlike other boots that flatten out after a few weeks . This summer I am going be wearing

Them doing Wildland firefighting . They are some of the best boots out there can’t recommend enough.

    best boots around

2nd pair of jk boots. 1st pair were too big and when needed a new sole i took advantage of extended lead time $100 off and got rebuild to right size. bought these in boise so i wouldnt be without good boots. were broken in in 2 days. oil them every month or 2. i often wear them 14+ hrs and no hot spots. end of day i leave them on sometimes

Custom Bison - Good, not Perfect

    The good -

The bison leather used to make these boots has broken in very quickly and is extremely comfortable. The lead time was one of, if not the best, of the other companies that make PNW logger boots. I selected the Fire and Ice Vibram soles which are noticeably more comfortable, but I've not had them in tough terrain yet. I'm sure they will wear quicker, but so far, it seems it may be worth it. The construction, minus what you'll see below, seems on par with other PNW boots I've had. I will say the feel and flexibility of the leather is way better than other boots, as long as this doesn't mean they will break down quicker

    The only issue -

The uppers on the left boot aren't positioned perfectly. Instead of the tongue being at the center of my leg, it is shifted inward. As a result of this, the spacing of the lacing eyelets and the hooks are not symmetrical. Lacing is a bit awkward as the hooks are wonky, but it's not uncomfortable. You can see in the picture that the uppers and hooks don't line up on the left boot. I'm torn on this, as they are an expensive custom boot, but they are handmade from natural materials. I definitely wouldn't say stay away based on this, I just hope it was fluke.
