    Top Shelf Wonderful

    I've worn work boots for 50 + years. Most of the building trades and 4 years as a lineman. At 65 YO, bought my first and then quickly a second pair of JKs. Outstanding quality, craftsmanship and customer service. These boots are even less expensive in time, than getting new ones regularly. Get some . You won't be sorry !

    Very Happy

    The heel counter and toe room are exactly how I like, big. The measuring process was right on. The boots fit great. I wear them half the week in town doing landscaping work and they're comfortable. The other half of the week I trailcrew in the Ventana Wilderness and they give me great footing on steep terrain and I hike miles comfortably.

    Fit and finish is topnotch! I thought I was going to have an issue with the sizing as I ordered online and had no prior experience with JK.     Supports my FLAT feet

    I’m in my 50’s and have needed orthotics to help with plantar fasciitis for many years now. I’ve been a heavy equipment operator most of my life and now I spend most of my time standing on concrete and steel for new bridge construction on highway projects and even conducting concrete training classes several times a year. I have ALWAYS been a boot guy so if I’m going beyond the drive way I’ll have my boots on. Work, hike ,hunt, travel, etc… boots. I’ve tried to buy the best work boots I could find and have always looked for made in America . I happened to see a video of John explaining how boots are made his passion resonated with me and I decided then I’m going to try these guys. I can’t really describe my experience with these boots because it’s so DIFFERENT than any other shoe I’ve ever worn. I put them on the first couple days and when I first laced them up I felt uncomfortable pressure points when I first stood up (naturally though they were NEW) then within a few minutes I completely FORGOT about my boots . I caught myself kneeling or squatting down at work and it would just hit me that MY FEET ARE NOT IN A BIND! my toes are not squeezed uncomfortably, my flat plantar fasciitis diagnosed old feet DONT HURT. I told my wife when I take my boots off at the end of the day they feel fresh and BETTER than they did upon first hitting the floor in the morning.

    So conclusion No more $$$ orthotics , feet haven’t felt this “normal “ in years. I LOVE these boots and I APPRECIATE…

    Comfort, Support, Easy Break-in

    Out of the box comfort with very little break-in needed. The key is getting the correct size.

    I wear a 12.5 B in Russell, 12.5 C in ****** and my sitting Brannock size is 12.5 B. But I ordered the 12.5 D because they were in stock. For whatever reason the 12.5 D works in J.K. Boots. I am using the J.K. provided Poron insoles which add some nice shock absorption. The heel is comfortably snug and I have room to splay my toes. If you like a tighter fit go with J.K’s instructions. My only con for this boot is the choice of smooth leather. It has what feels like a heavy finish on it but it will still absorb boot oil just fine. So no big deal.

    Quality is as you would expect, high. Stitching is better than I expected, very even. For my “all a rounder” use this is a great boot. Stiff and supportive in the arch and flexible at the ball. The O.T. is a winner!
